Other than those hubs that use Shimano analog freehubs, there is just about no interchangeability. The hub/freehub interface is proprietary, and many, like Campagnolo, don't have modular freehubs. Instead the freehub body is separate from the hub and drives it through an overrunning clutch (aka, freewheel ratchet). Since half the clutch system is in the hub shell, and half in the "freehub" there's no opportunity to switch except to one sharing the identical system.
