Close call yesterday with a minivan -passed me within a foot! Talked to the driver at a red light and she apologized and said she did not see me, even though I had a flashing red light and was wearing a hi-vis vest. If they don't see you, what can you do? I was shaken up a little, and hope she was too. Today, I had TWO flashing tail lights and rode on the sidewalk for the short stretch of road where the incident occurred. Not sure what to do now. I really thought that road was wide enough for cars and bikes - never had any problems before yesterday. I think I will just put it out of my mind and do my thing. If I stopped riding because of what might happen, I would never ride a bike, drive a car, ride the bus, or fly in an airplane. Stay positive is my motto. Aside from that, nice day today - quite warm. Sun is a bit of a problem in a few places, though.
