And even the way it happened... I took the other deck boards down a long time ago- I had been sort of using this one to hold up a roll of garden edging, but that's been taken down for quite some time. I just didn't take it down because it was out of the way and there was no reason to take it down. And when I saw the door being all jerky, I didn't think of anything except "man, I hope that doesn't break, I don't want to have to buy a new garage door."

Seriously, I was feeling like barfing. When I think about it, I start to feel like that again.
