I saw him a few days ago too! I had passed it off as a one off, but I guess it works for him.

It was a bit cooler this morning. But a nice ride, a friend caught me, in their car, and we had a nice chat up a hill. I actually had to tell him to go faster.

jrickards I wear tights and long-sleeves year round. for warmth in winter and to ensure my pasty skin stays pasty in the summer. I can't be a lab monkey who looks like he goes outside, it would ruin my image. I typically wear gloves until I left them at the beach and have not found a suitable replacement. I also will wear ear flaps as a sweat band in the summer, not all the time, just most of the time. I look like freak show is what it comes down to. So I do not think it is wimping out, it is always better to be over dressed.

I had a nice ride home on my new bike last night, beat a lot of my PRs on the way home, until the rear shifter wouldn't upshift. I got stuck in big big cross chained spun out at 20 km/h. I got repassed by a few people and limped home. I am glad it is a long weekend and I can redo the cables and clean the mechanism; it is a sticky mechanism or a fray cable end in the housing.
