You seem to just need a detachable connector in the wires going to the light.

I use Anderson Power Poles for all of my low voltage wiring. I like the sets with the positive and negative housings already joined: 15 Amp Permanently Bonded Red/Black Anderson Powerpoles

Any kind of power connector type should be usable as the currents and voltages involved are low.
