Commute this morning was marred by double parked trucks blocking buses which in turned blocked both the bike lane and the car lane. I almost got clipped by a guy who decided not to dismount his bike when he hopped on the sidewalk to get around the blockage. Yes, I know the both lanes are blocked. However, you still can't hop on the sidewalk and ride full speed down it. Three other people decided to join him so much for the deterrent effect of the crackdown. I had a rather eventful trip back from the grocery store today. See my post about it here

I'm getting buyers remorse over my Contour Roam 2. The first one's battery lasted about 6-8 hours depending on what quality setting you filmed with. However, that one died after a month and had to be RMAd. Contour was great and I got a replacement before I could ship the defective one back. Now the battery life on the second is approaching the six hours mark. The battery is annoying cause you check it by pressing a status button on the back of the camera and it is either green, red or flashing red if the camera is dead. When the SD card starts to get full the camera beeps at you to remind you to change it not so with the battery. I bumped the quality down to 720p so hopefully that helps some. I kinda wish I got a GO PRO instead. However I really hate their boxy shape. The Contour is a bit more discrete.
