Vicegrip has it right. While I've seen expertly ridden bicycles out-descend timidly driven cars, given equally committed and skilled operators the car wins. And I don't think it takes much of a car, either. But perhaps we should turn it over to Top Gear for a real test.
Fifth Gear did it years ago in the beginning with a Porsche 911 and Yamaha R1. The R1 pulled away on the straights with superior acceleration but the Porsche smoked by on the outside when it got twisty.
