So how successful was Schwinn with the 50th anniversary frame? What's it going for now (don't really care).

To me it is a lot of hype over a very nice frame set. I try not to get too wrapped up in the hype. Would I like one? Sure. Would I spend 3K+ for one? Nah. I am very happy with a small number of Italian bikes for between $150 and less than $500. And for me, there is more staying power hype around names like Colnago (1954), De Rosa (1953) and Pinarello (1952). Even Bianchi (1885) and Bottecchia (1924) continue to get respect! Not to mention a large number of others that likely get more respect than the Big S!

Maybe it is too early for the big S to have earned the hype. Why 74? Maybe that is the right number for what they expect to collect for the hype.
