..speaking of situations that don't really mean anything, I received today in the mail the decision on my IRS
appeal, which reads, "**** you, we don't believe you." Or words to that effect.
However, encouraged by their governmental statements of interest in my rights as a taxpayer ("You have the right to remain handcuffed !"),
and your suggestion that possibly all they want is a corrected 1099, I have only just now hung up the phone on my conversation with Melissa,
at Lincoln Financial, who promises I shall have the same in a couple of weeks.
With any luck, this will satisfy the authorities that I am, while not to be trusted entirely, at least innocent of this transgression.
