Interesting. I race with an aluminum, carbon fork. Even raced with aluminum rims (now I have carbon rims). Nothing was ever said to me - or near me that I could hear. Those with carbon frames & wheels will be awfully upset when they enter their first crash. Aluminum = cheaper to replace
