If your daughter doesn't move around much then she can ride the tag-a-long longer. If she moves around a lot with the play in the hitch it will get harder to handle as she gets heaver. At that point a tandem will be a lot easier for you.
Thanks Mibike! My daughter weighs just over 50 pounds so the play in the hitch does throw me around a lot. I was actually wondering if that would be worse on a tandem so it's encouraging to hear that is not the case.
