These are both questions you're better off asking the shop. the link question is easy enough because you can simply look at the chain. Figuring you have at least 500 miles before the 1st rotation, you have plenty of time to order the No2 chain, and maybe a spare link for the first. If there's no link on there now (recognizable by the keyhole slot) cut by driving the pins from both ends of any outer link, then whne the time comes you can reinstall it using the new link.
Thanks so much for replying , the shop did not know about the rear hub, but I thought somebody might know on the chain issue.....I can have a look at it when I stop back in there. I have shortened new chains without a chain breaker but it might be easier to have one to do it on the bike.
