My wife and I are mid-tour and we're arriving in Manitowoc, WI tomorrow (taking the ferry over from Ludington). We've biked a couple thousand miles from Annapolis to Maine and now we're heading west. Rather than follow the ACA North Lakes and Northern Tier routes we're thinking of heading due west from Manitowoc towards Mount Rushmore. For now we'll just try using Google bicycling directions and also try to follow itineraries from cross-country bike tour companies that ride through this stretch. But if anyone has ridden through this part of the country and has route suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!
