[MENTION=381055]intransit1217[/MENTION], I went back and read your posts in thread, about feeling like you need to reverse your stem for drops. You have to realize that reach and drop accomplish much of the same thing. If you have "classic" drops, they often lack the flat transitions to the hoods, so you rotate them up and make the drops unusable. Or you make the drops usable, and push the hoods so far away that they feel out of reach. Modern compact bars take all of that out.

But a big difference between getting drops comfortable and in reach is pelvis rotation and back angle. It is easy to ride a higher bar on a hybrid with a vertical pelvis and a rounded back. But if you roll your pelvis forward, and keep a naturally straight back, the reach of drops falls right in. Pelvis rotation lowered your shoulders, which moves them forward, and significantly increases your reach.
