First day back from vacation. Not my best commute. I hopped on my bike and noticed I had a flat (I rode my bike on vacation and transported it with no flats the day before

). So, I swapped by front wheel with my wife's front red deep V wheel. Looks odd, but whatevs. This was also my first time commuting clip-less, which was a godsend on the two climbs I have in the morning. However, I was nearly hit by an SUV. As I was riding up 1st Avenue an Infinity SUV turned abruptly from his lane across the green-path with the intent to pull into a parking garage. I nearly smashed into the front driver side quarter panel. I somehow had the wherewithal to hop the curb narrowly clipping my knee on his bumper. I yelled a few choice words at the guy! Pedestrians walking by joined in berating the guy. After my stomach settled I rode off the remaining 5 minutes to work. Took me awhile to cool down from that one.
