Bikes: Bianchi Campe D'Italian 84, Trek custom by me touring bike- 1986. Plus another 8/9 in my collection

Not a real bikes snob bike, It is only $250 dollar and require at most $200 dollar mods and customizing. I like mine and it has been fun working on it. No bikes even from bikes direct will require so little to enjoy it. JMO
I have put a Shimano 7-speed cassette and a click shifter...no problems running all 7 speeds.
