Has anyone ever camped under a bridge? Some bridges have a flat place up high that might fit a small tent. Right now I'm reading crazyguyonabike journals. He talks about asking the people at fire stations and police stations if he can camp near their place.
I'd stick with Churches and fire stations myself. A lot of churches will let you camp behind the building as long as you are polite and discrete. I wouldn't just camp though without asking or if no one is there and it's Friday night (ie, probably no services on Saturday morning) then maybe go for it.
