If you take that tack, be absolutely sure the shop is qualified to do the work. Most of the shops I know around me would not know the difference between a the so-called Park "universal" crank puller for 22 x 1mm threading, and a Stronglight. If you let them at it, kiss your threads (and your pricey vintage crankset) goodbye.
