Since losing almost 30 pounds, I've found it's much easier for me to get chilled on cool/cold rides. I'll do the long sleeve layer when it's around 60. And typically reach for the leg/knee warmers when it's cooler than that.
I found the same thing true now that I have lost 35 or so it does not take much to get me chilled. I have been riding sometimes in the shade with a nice breeze in the summer and found myself with chill bumps.

This morning's ride felt like I was going through a misting machine the whole way. At 65F it felt pretty nice actually. And twice now I have found a port-a-potty at a construction site to come in handy on my ride. I could have made it to work, but was definitely more comfortable after a quick stop.

Sorry to hear about your car and my commute this morning was similiar It was a 25 minute run of 3.09 miles on the treadmill and some weight lifting as well. It felt good to weight lift. I hope to ride the next two days. I am really wishing my new tire was in though. It is getting darker out there now a days.
