Train smart rick. You'll do yourself little good to deprive yourself of proper hydration and fuel. Drink a half a bottle of water before you start, wait a half hour for it to pass thru and go. A banana is also a good pre-ride snack. Your body will thank you for the potassium.

Also, you're gonna love the Domane. I have about 5000 miles on a 5.2. As an retired Cat. 2 roadie, I love this thing.
