I'm fairly cheap and easy for a vintage road touring I like the Suntour VX stuff.





For a mountain bike or strait bar setup I really like Shimano's LX stuff with the sealed bearing pulleys and 7speed indexing, large capacity gearing wise and on the fly friction overide.
