I've just inherited a 1983 Schwinn Traveler which SHOULD come with aluminum rims stock but there have been a lot of modifications to this bike (5 sp freewheel instead of 6, different crank). I'm debating whether or not to do a 700c conversion and if these are steel rims then I definitely will. There are no markings on the rims themselves. What should I look for?
