I currently have a 2015 SWORKS Tarmac but want to start competing in time trials. I have a number of races coming up and it has been suggested i race national championships this year for my country. Should I purchase a secondhand 2010 giant trinity 0 or build a planet x tt bike? both cost the same price.

Go back to the person(s) that suggest that you race nationals for your country. Have them sponsor you and let them decide what bike is for you.
