Have been looking around, but can't bring myself to spend 100$+ on a bag.
I like messenger bags because they dont sway from side to side, like backpacks. The bag mostly sits on your back and the weight on one shoulder isnt bad at all. But if i was walking, i would prefer a backpack. if you're really packing alot of pounds(20+), get a nice secure rolltop.

Craigslist usually is really good for cheap bags
