Wireless Computers

I've got a question about wireless computers: why are they so popular? I understand for tricky setups, recumbets, tandems, etc, it would be necessary, but why for regular bikes? Setting up a wired computer takes me 15 minutes, and it only has one battery. Plus, no worries about interference, setting up the wireless transmission, etc. All self-contained in one system.

The biggest bother is that the best/most advanced computers are all wireless. What's wrong with wires?

Just wondering, not bashing wireless or anything...
