As I continue to lose weight I have noticed how much easier it is to ride in the drops. It feels good if for no other reason than to change body position (hands, etc). I know it is more aerodynamic but I wonder if otherwise it is more efficient?
In threads where drops and flat bars are discussed, there's a general consensus that drops are much more comfortable especially when riding distances, because of all the available hand positions. I know we don't think of "comfort" as something that's "efficient", but on a longer ride it can be.
