"A bunch of large rides" mightn't be a bad idea. Mixing up your training by doing some longer rides at endurance pace would add variety to the shorter, more intensive rides you've been doing and you might notice some benefits.
Agreed! I'm starting to do that more. Also I developed a bit of pain and slower and longer rides are doing it good while more intense rides are bothering it. I'm going to ease off the intense for a bit and let thing heal up.
