malfist - Congratulations! Keep it up. It is an issue of perserverence. There are a lot of examples of why you should continue. Just make a commitment to yourself.
Today is my last day at this job. Fortunately I start another one on Monday. My ride home today will break 1000 miles of commuting home this year. My first ride was in January and was the only one that month. I averaged 13.7 MPH on a 10.8 mile commute. I weighed about 210 lbs. So far this month I have averaged 16.3 with a high of 18.1 on one trip. I weigh about 188. Clearly I am a lot stronger and my body shape has changed more significantly than the 20+ lbs would suggest.
Just do it!
