It was early in the A.M., only taxi drivers and raccoons were out. Her self-preservation instincts were minimal.
There must be a 10K coming up, they come out of the woodwork immediately before an event to get their training in.
Ironman Phoenix (Tempe) is coming up and the tri bikes are everywhere; the runners are too, on a fav hill of mine they routinely take the lane in the wrong direction @ 4:30am and look at us so confused when we head up the hill in the bike lane in a paceline. I like to imagine them thinking "What are these bikers doing on my jogging path?"
