I would support a federal law banning the use of earbuds, headphones, etc. while running, cycling, or just walking down the sidewalk. We have become a world in which people cannot seem to let go of their personal media or communications for even an instant. It leads to a sort of detachment from reality that's disturbing from a cultural standpoint, and potentially dangerous from a personal safety standpoint. Be a part of your world, people, not some compartmentalized hermit who tries to cut the ties with your surroundings.
