What's going on? You snip my irate response to a nutty post and balance it with a snippet from my original post?
Do
you measure your HR while you're cycling with your fingertips? Holding your watch in the other hand?
On the chance you are actually asking a real question
- What do you want to make my mind up about?
- I DID climb seval monster hills. I WAS pumping hard. My HR was the highest it's been this year by 6 beats!
- There was no big hill in the final 5 miles. I WAS working somewhat hard. My HR was VERY HIGH (for me).
- I think a cyclist relying on measuring his/her HR with fingers is IDIOTIC!
- And, as noted above, I drank two bottles with 50% OJ during the not-very-hot ride. So dehydration probably wasn't a major issue.
I've got to hit the sack. My skin is too thin - I am letting stuff like this annoy me.
