Maybe you should reread what he said. He said it works SOMETIMES (his emphasis).

If your strategy works sometimes, and it involves risk of a collision EVERY TIME, I think there's a flaw in the strategy.

Plus, how about you think the other way, his strategy gives the drivers plenty of space to speed up. Imagine what happens when there is a group of 3 cars, one after another, come behind this guy. The first driver will see and go around him, the second probably wouldn't be able to see this guy. The second driver would also be traveling fast, giving him very little time to react.

While I do agree that his strategy can be a good one, it doesn't work in most places, doesn't work for most riders. It is supporting the wrong idea that running the red is a valid strategy.

That's all my problem is. As I mentioned, I don't even live in the same country as him, he can do whatever the heck he wants.
