Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

New members, READ THIS FIRST!

*A few things to help you out:

First and foremost, if you are under 13, you cannot join the forums. You can read what's posted, but you cannot sign up and participate until you are 13. This is the law, so please respect that.

When you first logged on to the forums, there were some rules that you didn't bother to read. One of them concerns spelling and grammar. Please do your best to spell things out, in English. Slang is one thing, laziness is another.

Before you post a question, try using the search function. Several times a week, someone starts a thread that goes something like this - What bike should I get? If you can't find your answer in an old thread, go ahead and start a new one. But please remember to state your budget, the kind of riding you want to do, and if you're not in the US, state your location.

On the subject of old threads, in most cases, it's best to let sleeping dogs lie. If someone hasn't posted in a thread in the last few weeks, don't bother. If someone asked an opinion on something last year, don't reopen the thread to give your opinion 4, 8, or 12 months later. That said, certain threads like old school threads can be bumped every time a new member joins.

Remember, a stupid question will most likely get you an equally stupid response. And if you feel the need to insult someone, try to be creative. Calling someone a ******* ***** on the internet is weak and immature. Inappropriate use of the words "gay" and "********" are generally unacceptable as well.

The forums are here so we can exchange information and have fun. If you're here just to cause trouble, don't bother. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM to me or any of the other forum moderators.

Once you've been here a while you'll notice a few things:

Everyone picks on everyone else, but they're usually just screwing around.
No one can tolerate the new guy that hasn't noticed that his question has already been asked at least 10 times.
I spend a lot of time babysitting here, when I could be reading threads that are more worthwhile. This makes me cranky when people are stupid.
There's actually a lot of knowledge here, and some real talent. But it's mostly guys your age just being idiots on the internet.

Try to have fun, and don't take anything too personal.

Cheers.

* You don't need to read this rest of this thread, because it's just a bunch of crap we posted to keep this at the top of the list before it was made a sticky.

edit: Look at this thread, too:

edit (by Fit): Welcome to the forums in which the search function and decent spelling and grammar will be your best friends. There is a large array of information to be found here, many of which can be used by searching for it. If you can not find the information, then you should post a new thread. Bunnyhopping tips are just many of the very common topics of these forums. Thank you for your future cooperation.
