I segregated them into 2 groups, 1 for each side. Either I did that right and was careless lacing the new wheel or vice-versa.

The original rim's splitting at it's seam has me wondering. The seam is under a considerable amount of compressive force, not the usual cause of cracks/splitting. So, any more descriptions, photos? Did the split/crack follow the seam or go in another direction but at the general area of the seam?
