...it's up to the judges and juries to start doing theirs and stop worrying about trying to avoid setting a precedent that might result in motorists actually being held accountable for their actions.
Well, I couldn't agree with you more, but that just doesn't seem to be happening.
Perhaps this is a case of people in a democracy (collectively) getting the government they deserve.
