FYI I just switched out my old Terry Falcon Y saddle for a Specialized Toupe. I was riding the Terry way back, about 1 cm from the front curve in the rails. With the Spesh saddle I find I have at least an extra 3 cm that I could push the saddle back. I mention this, because Spesh doesn't make a big deal about this saddle having extra long rails. Maybe the Terry's rails were just very short. In any case, OP, depending on what saddle you are using, you may be able to solve your problem with a different one. It may not be all about the seat post.

EDIT: Perhaps I exaggerated the difference a little bit. Maybe 2 extra cm on the Toupe rails. Just for the sake of truthfulness.
