the reason why i asked is because i'm currently running shorty ultimate on my cx in narrow stance and can't stop very well at all when coming down a 15-18% grade. i'm running with carbon rim and black prince pads, which is the same setup as the one on my addict. so i know brake + cf rim stopping is good, expecially on my addict running red calipers.
but on this canti.. it's a whole different story. i've ordered the TRP CX8.4 in hopes that it will have better stopping power than these canti. don't know why every raves about the shorty ultimate, when i can't get it to stop when i want them to.
