I like QBP wheels; they're well made and can be found roughly in this price range. You should be able to pick up a well made wheelset with shimano 105 hubs and mavic open sport rims in this price range. Nothing fancy but very serviceable.

Edit: also I'd check out the velocity road sport wheelset.
