I've got a hereditary heart defect and quite a bad case of it, much worse than my relatives. The same disease didn't bother my dad until he developed the usual old-man heart problems, and then it gave him complications. But I was having angina from age 32. I'm thankful for group insurance. I sometimes wonder how long I'll make it, even now as I start a family. It's made me work much harder to be good about my habits because I feel terrible otherwise.I rarely drink and thankfully never smoked. Even so I can't workout hard due to the condition and the medications, and I get sloppy about calories. I'm carrying a defibrillator in my chest and it's a constant reminder to try to be better.

"Well, well!" said Holmes, impatiently. "A good cyclist does not need a high road. The moor is intersected with paths and the moon is at the full."
