If I said I never obsessed about stuff I'd probably lie about other things too. But I may wait until the deep snows of winter lock my down by the wood stove for this one. But it is also curious that they would stamp Brev. in several spots but use Patent or Pat. on the top of Nuovo Record RD. Ex: "Pat. 76" on my RD. Did it mean something else? I thought it meant pattern but I've seen photos of other RD with it spelled out Patent. Of course I don't need the answer right now. No snow yet - nice weather actually.

Oh, and I realize the full meaning of S.G.D.G. from back in the time of Napolean, is no easier to determine than much of whats in English or even 'murican law. It's just another curious puzzle.
