I had a nice commute home yesterday. I was just cruising at 30-33 km/h on the flats before a pedestrian bridge over the river and I was then passed like I have never been before, like I was standing still. I was on my fully loaded LHT without kid but he just flew by on a Caad10 (I think). I caught up with him and held on over the bridge and the following km or so, but he beat me to a light and got through it and I lost him. I could have worked harder to get to the light but I did not think either of us would make it. I was flat out impressed and even said out loud I have never been passed like that. I felt happy I kept with him as long as I did.

I got my new tights from Eastbay, they are Fierce Yellow; and damn they are bright. Coupled with my high vis green/yellow Under Armour shirt I may be visible from an airplane.

I stopped and screwed in a gas cap and closed the flap for a woman in traffic; it is easy to slid up next to a car and close it up. Traffic is still pretty thick at a few choke points and I have enjoyed taking full advantage of weaving through the line up.
