I have found the most effective way to use a MUP is with a bell. I used to get so mad at riding on the MUP and then I got a bell. I ring the thing non-stop and smile with delight as I make my way mile after mile. I rarely have disputes or anger with people. My friends and I joke about what we call, "The Bell Authority."
