The problem i have is the pads aren't adjusting tyhemselves back far enough and are holding onto the disk. The disk is slightly bent and used to rub but now it's gotten worse. I think it would be easiest to remove the brake pads from the caliper and push the pistons all the way back into the caliper and once the pads are back in see if the re-adjust themselves correctly.
when adjusting the brakes, hydro or mech., place a business card between the rotor and caliper on both sides, then push the lever, then tighten. unless you go thru water or somehow quickly cool the rotor after a nice downhill or get a lot of crud behind the caliper, you should not have any more rubbing and that should make the auto adjust feature on Hayes work better also. I kept having the same problem over and over until I did this
