The Downtube 9FS comes with a braze-on for a front derailleur.. you can look up what a front derailleur/triple crankset and front shifter (probably a longer chain) on the web would cost to see where you want to be in parts outlay .. a good LBS might charge one to two hours to remove old crankset, install new crankset/fd/shifter/chain and adjust..
