Further to that - (I forgot to mention you'd be coming home via Poplar Plains as it's runs south to north) you can also follow st. Clair down to where I've marked at which point there's a set of street lights ( the second after you hang a right after poplar plains, the first being Oriole Parkway which will also work but moves a lot faster and is bigger) that you can cross safely at, then follow where I've mapped back.
