Yeah, it works a treat. No negative reactions. Everyone gives you a wide berth.

No sure about the AG 38... I'm hoping 34 will be enough. A Japanese friend mentioned that for touring you needed 1 to 1, so 32 should be enough (as the front is 32). We'll see. I removed the white lettering from the large cog on a Shimano MEGA RANGE the other day
