Oh, and the flood of expletives everywhere! What's up with that? I was walking behind these two women the other day and one of them couldn't complete a sentence without nearly half the words being some form of a profanity - I counted! The other woman had nothing to say but "uh huh" and "yeah." Her friend would have been just as articulate if she had just grunted the whole time, too.
Okay, that reminds me of a similar issue on which to rant. How come no one seems to know what they are truly saying when they use a euphemistic form of a profane word. Like "fricking", which is running rampant as the nation's new pet explective. Really? You don't know you might just as well go for the whole f-bomb. These are the modern cases of all those "g" words that really mean Jesus, like geez and gee whiz. I am not offended by the straight up profanity, so it matters not to me. But I find it amusing how immature it is to modify the "bad" word a little bit and think you are getting away with something or even not realizing you are saying exactly the same thing. Think, people!
