Are you talking about xc pro parts? I have them on my 1991 specialized team stumpjumper; they're sweet parts. You can't really damage your parts by injecting grease. I shoot the parts with grease until I have clear grease running out and have pushed out all the older grease. Then I wipe off all the grease on the outside (it's a dirt magnet) and I'm done.
