Thanks all for the replies. After working on it, cleaning the derailler etc. I decided enough was enough and it was broken. Went to the local Trek store and must have been my lucky day. Told them the one I did have and the replacement shimano was 20 bucks but rang up 11. Cha ching. Installed it and it is working just fine now. Really wanted to keep the original parts on it, but also just want to get out there riding. Thanks again!!!
