Can you ride up to the front of a line of cars at a left turn?

Hello All,

I understand that this law may differ by state (I am in Oregon) but here is the scenario: Some intersections I come up to with a left turn ONLY lane have a HUGE line of cars (like 10-15). I have seen some cyclists ride up the right side of the lane to the front to turn left. This makes sense as to not hold up the line but I'm wondering if that is what you are supposed to do? Or do you just wait at your spot in line?

I looked through the Oregon DOT handbook and couldn't find a definite answer.
